Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe 2026 - Chantilly
Experience the thrill of the biggest weekends in the international racing calendar, with a trip to France combining the prestige of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe with the elegance and charm of Chantilly. Famous for its equestrian heritage, beautiful architecture and relaxed French atmosphere, Chantilly provides a wonderful setting for a memorable racing getaway.
Our journey began in London, where we boarded the Eurostar for Paris before continuing by train to Chantilly. On arrival, we made our way to the Best Western Plus Hôtel du Parc, our home for the next three nights. Once settled in, there was time to unwind, meet fellow travellers and enjoy a drink with tour host Marc, or head out to discover the town’s welcoming bars and restaurants.
Saturday offered the perfect opportunity to explore Chantilly and discover what makes this charming French town so special. At its heart lies the magnificent Château de Chantilly, a spectacular historic estate surrounded by beautiful grounds and steeped in French history. Whether you chose to visit the château, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the town, or simply relax at a local café, there was plenty to make the most of away from the racecourse.

As evening approached, we came together for a meal at Le Vertugadin, a chance to enjoy some excellent local hospitality and share the excitement ahead of the big day. With its distinctive character and laid-back charm, Chantilly is the ideal place to enjoy the very best of France while building anticipation for one of racing’s most prestigious occasions.
Sunday was the highlight of the weekend, as we headed to Longchamp Racecourse for the legendary Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. Recognised around the world as one of the great events in flat racing, the Arc brings together outstanding horses, leading jockeys and racing fans for a spectacular day of competition. The atmosphere is filled with anticipation, and there is nothing quite like being there in person as the day’s racing unfolds.
Our Winning Line Race Day Tickets provided a covered viewing area, allowing us to enjoy the action in comfort, as well as access to the parade ring for a closer look at the horses before they take to the track. From the buzz of the crowds to the drama of the racing itself, it was a day that captured the very best of the sport. Whether you are a dedicated racing enthusiast or simply looking for a special experience, the Arc promises excitement, spectacle and memories to treasure.
After the final race, we returned to Chantilly with the evening free to relax and enjoy the town at your own pace. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on the day’s highlights, perhaps over dinner or a drink, before the final part of our French adventure.

Monday brought a particularly special opportunity for racing fans, with an exclusive stable visit to the yard of Nicolas Clement and Frauke Hermans. Renowned for its impressive facilities and insight into the world of racehorse training, the visit offered a fascinating chance to see another side of the sport and gain a greater appreciation of the care, expertise and dedication behind every racehorse. Following our visit, we made our way back to Paris for the Eurostar journey home to London.
With world-class racing at Longchamp, the historic beauty of Chantilly and the added bonus of an exclusive stable visit, this tour offered far more than a day at the races. It was a chance to immerse yourself in French racing culture, explore a beautiful historic town, and share an unforgettable weekend with fellow enthusiasts. From the first journey to the final farewell, this promised to be a superb French racing escape.
