There are few places in the world where the elegance of horse racing, the beauty of the coastline, and the charm of French culture come together quite like Deauville. Known as the “Parisian seaside resort”, this beautiful Normandy town has long been a favourite destination for racing enthusiasts, breeders and those looking for a taste of the finer things in life.

Join us on an unforgettable journey combining world-class racing, exclusive behind-the-scenes experiences and the very best of Normandy hospitality.

Day 1: Arrival in Normandy

Our adventure begins with a relaxing morning ferry crossing from Portsmouth to Le Havre. As we sail across the Channel, the excitement builds for the days ahead filled with racing, culture, and discovery.

On arrival in France, a private transfer will take us along the picturesque Normandy coastline to our hotel in Deauville. After checking in, the evening was enjoyed at leisure. Some took a stroll through the elegant streets, soaked up the atmosphere of the famous seaside resort, or simply unwound after the journey.

Day 2: Discovering Deauville’s Racing Heritage

After breakfast at the hotel, we began our exploration of Deauville’s unique racing world.

A short walk brought us to Le Cyrano, where we met with local trainers and discovered what life was like training racehorses in this beautiful seaside town. We gained fascinating insight into the dedication, skill, and passion required to prepare thoroughbreds for the track, while learning more about the unique racing culture that makes Deauville so special.

We then headed to Deauville Racecourse, where we watched some of the finest thoroughbreds being put through their paces ahead of the weekend’s racing action. Seeing the horses train in such an iconic setting provided a fantastic behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of French racing.

The day concluded with a welcome dinner in Deauville, where we enjoyed excellent food, great company and the opportunity to share our first impressions on the trip.

Day 3: Stud Visit and an Afternoon at Clairefontaine Racecourse

Following breakfast at the hotel, we enjoyed a transfer to Haras de Beaumont, which provided a fascinating insight into France’s world-renowned breeding industry. As one of Normandy’s most exciting stud farms and home to unbeaten Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Ace Impact, it offered a truly special opportunity to get closer to the breeding side of racing.

During the guided tour, we learned more about the work involved in producing future champions and had the chance to see all those in training up close.

After the stud visit, we were transferred to the beautiful Clairefontaine Racecourse for an afternoon of flat racing.

Set in stunning surroundings just outside Deauville, Clairefontaine offered a wonderful racing experience in a relaxed and picturesque setting. The atmosphere, scenery and quality of racing made it a memorable afternoon for everyone.

After enjoying the action on the track, we returned to the hotel for an evening at leisure. Guests had the opportunity to relax, explore Deauville further or enjoy dinner in one of the town’s many excellent restaurants.

Day 4 – Racing at Deauville Racecourse

Saturday brought one of the highlights of our trip as we headed back to Deauville Racecourse for a fantastic day of flat racing.

A short walk from our hotel brought us to this famous venue, where we experienced excitement and atmosphere of French racing, including a listed race on the card. With its rich history and reputation as one of Europe’s leading racing destinations, Deauville Racecourse provided the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable day.

After the final race, we returned to the hotel and enjoyed a relaxed evening, reflecting on another excellent day of racing.

Day 5 – Exploring Deauville and the Normandy Coast

After several busy days centred around racing, Sunday offered the perfect opportunity to experience more of Deauville’s charm.

Guests enjoyed a day at leisure, exploring the town at their pace. Some took a stroll along the famous Les Planches promenade, browsed the elegant boutiques, relaxed on the beach or simply enjoyed the atmosphere of this beautiful coastal resort.
