ITINERARY
Thursday 12th August
Fly from London to Bilbao, where you’ll be met for your transfer to San Sebastián. On arrival, check in at the four-star Barceló Costa Vasca for your four-night stay. Located just a short walk from Ondarreta Beach, the hotel has modern rooms, a restaurant, spacious outdoor terraces and a summer swimming pool, making it a great base for the trip. In the evening, join the group for a welcome meal at a local restaurant.

Friday 13th August
After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day enjoying San Sebastián and the city’s Semana Grande celebrations. Throughout the week, the city hosts a packed programme of live music, traditional Basque events and entertainment. In the evening, head towards La Concha to watch the International Fireworks Competition light up the bay.

Saturday 14th August
After breakfast, enjoy a free day exploring San Sebastián at your own pace. You could walk along La Concha Beach, visit the Old Town and its famous pintxo bars or take the funicular up Monte Igueldo for views across the city and coastline. The evening is yours to spend at leisure.

Sunday 15th August
After breakfast, travel to Hipódromo de San Sebastián for the Copa de Oro, the biggest race of the course’s summer season. Enjoy an afternoon of racing at one of Spain’s most scenic racecourses before returning to the hotel. The evening is free to enjoy your final night in San Sebastián.

Monday 16th August
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. Depending on the flight time, there may be some final free time in San Sebastián before transferring to Bilbao Airport for the return flight to London.
