The French Derby is always one of the highlights of our racing calendar and we are already looking ahead to 2027, with plans underway for another memorable weekend in the beautiful racing town of Chantilly.
The Prix du Jockey Club is one of Europe's most prestigious Classic races, attracting many of the leading horses, trainers and jockeys from across the continent. Staged at the stunning Chantilly Racecourse, it combines world class racing with a unique atmosphere that makes it one of the most enjoyable race days of the season.
While race day is the centrepiece, the weekend offers much more. Our carefully planned itinerary includes a morning Eurostar journey to Paris, welcome drinks on arrival in Chantilly, an evening mealt plus an exclusive stable visit with lunch before returning to the UK.
Our 2026 trip once again demonstrated why this weekend remains so popular. Aidan O'Brien joined us in the racecourse restaurant shortly before saddling Constitution River to lead home a remarkable Ballydoyle one, two, three in the feature race, providing a memorable moment for all of our guests.
Chantilly itself is one of the most important centres of horse racing in Europe. Home to some of France's leading trainers and surrounded by its incredible gallops, it offers the perfect blend of racing heritage, history and French charm.

International flight from your chosen USA airport to Paris before continuing by train to Chantilly. After checking into the 4* Hotel du Parc, we'll enjoy welcome drinks together before the remainder of the evening is yours to explore the town or dine at your leisure.

Saturday 5th June
Today is free for you to explore Chantilly at your own pace. Your package includes admission to the spectacular equestrian show at the Château de Chantilly. In the evening, we'll come together for a group dinner at the renowned Le Vertugadin restaurant.

Sunday 6th June
After breakfast, we'll head to Chantilly Racecourse for the Prix du Jockey Club. Guests can once again upgrade to the Panoramic Restaurant, where our group met Aidan O'Brien ahead of Constitution River's victory in 2026, before enjoying a fantastic afternoon of racing.

Monday 7th June
After breakfast, we'll enjoy an exclusive visit to Nicolas Clément and Frauke Hermans' training yard, including the famous Chantilly forest gallops. Following a light lunch with our hosts, we'll return to the airport for your return flight home.

The Prix du Jockey Club, better known as the French Derby, is one of Europe's most prestigious Flat races and has been held at Chantilly Racecourse since 1836. Run over 2,100 metres, the Group 1 Classic attracts the very best three year old thoroughbreds from across Europe and is widely regarded as one of the highlights of the European Flat racing season.
The magnificent Chantilly Racecourse provides a spectacular setting, with the Château de Chantilly and Great Stables creating one of the most picturesque backdrops in world racing. As part of the prestigious Arc Races series, the Prix du Jockey Club is often an important stepping stone towards the Qatar Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, making it a race that regularly produces future champions and unforgettable moments.
Recent winners include Ace Impact, who completed the Prix du Jockey Club and Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe double in 2023, while the 2026 renewal saw Constitution River lead home an extraordinary Aidan O'Brien one two three.
